The Wetumpka TEA Party is a vibrant arm of a much larger nationwide grassroots movement. The TEA Party has evolved from a political revolt to a social movement. Founded in March 2009, the Wetumpka TEA Party has grown into one of the largest and most active TEA Party groups in the state of Alabama, with a membership of almost 900 and still growing.
WHO WE ARE
We are a group of concerned. patriotic American citizens, from all walks of life, who believe that our Federal Government is out of control fiscally and constitutionally as seen from policies enacted by White House administrations both past and present.
We believe that America is the greatest country on earth. However, if we are to remain so, we must see a return to limited government and personal responsibility. We can no longer continue to follow after failed socialistic/humanistic states.
OUR GOAL
Our goal is to raise awareness in our local and surrounding communities of the detrimental effects of fundamental changes in governance being made and attempted at the Federal, State and local levels. We encourage all citizens to be active in the political process so we can restore fiscal responsibility, constitutionally limited government and free markets to our nation.
